A case of spontaneous chylothorax complicating pregnancy

Abstract

The paper gives a clinical case of left-sided chylothorax developing in a young woman in the second half of pregnancy due to thrombosis of the left internal jugular vein, left subclavian vein, and brachiocephalic trunk. Cesarean section was made. Medical treatment thereafter proved to be effective. The possible mechanisms for spontaneous venous thrombosis and chylothorax during pregnancy and the methods of their diagnosis and treatment are discussed.

Случай спонтанного хилоторакса, осложнившего течение беременности. - Аннотация. Приводится клиническое наблюдение левостороннего хилоторакса, развившегося у молодой женщины во второй половине беременности в результате тромбоза левой внутренней яремной вены, левой подключичной вены, брахиоцефального ствола. Было выполнено кесарево сечение. Проводимое после этого консервативное лечение оказалось эффективным. Обсуждаются возможные механизмы развития спонтанных венозных тромбозов и хилоторакса во время беременности, методы их диагностики и лечения.
