Abstract
Aim. To study quality of life (QoL) in patients with bronchial asthma (BA).
Material and methods. QoL in bronchial asthma patients (49 males and 57 females with moderate asthma, 40 males and 50 females with severe asthma) was evaluated with application of the Saint George Hospital Respiratory Questionnaire, clinical and functional tests.
Results. It was found that males with BA less emotionally response to stress due to the disease and estimate their QoL as lower compared with BA females.
Conclusion. Some indicators of QoL in bronchial asthma are determined, differencies in QoL estimation by males and females and in different asthma severity are observed.
