Along with the tangible benefit of this treatment, there is a risk for postoperative complications, the main cause of which is impaired absorption of nutrients. The paper describes polyradiculoneuropathy running as a type of Guillain-Barré syndrome.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p>В последние десятилетие неуклонно увеличивается число хирургических операций, направленных на снижение массы тела (бариатрическая хирургия). Наряду с ощутимой пользой данного вида лечения имеется риск развития послеоперационных осложнений, основной причиной которых является нарушение всасывания нутриентов.
